This listing is for tops that I would consider “seconds” in that they have areas of fading and discoloration, and uneven areas of dye where the black walnut is more prominent. These are imperfect but made well/no construction issues. These are final sale and deeply discounted!
A simple crop top, printed with illustrations of Mountain Laurel blossoms, a native shrub that grows abundantly here in the blue ridge mountains of Western North Carolina. It hard to think of home without bringing to mind these delicate blooms that erupt from the mountainsides towards late spring. Sitting among a grove of laurels, I can’t help but feel protected and embraced by the magic of existing as a small being within these big mountains. This little illustration is an ode to that feeling. This top is made from medium weight hemp jersey, and unevenly naturally dyed with indigo, black walnuts and marigold flowers for a soft muted but warm blue. Each top is printed and dyed individually and will vary in light/dark areas and print placement slightly. Printed with water based pigment.
