A simple crop top, printed with illustrations of marigold flowers. This top is made from a light weight bamboo jersey, and unevenly dyed a dark green with marigold flowers and Iron then dappled with a light bath of black walnut. Each top is one of a kind, dyed and printed individually, so variations in color and print placement will occur. Printed with water based pigment.
This year I had to practice letting things go more than I ever have before, I'm sure many people can relate. Giving birth in July turned our worlds upside down (in the best way of course), and meant pretty much giving up on the hopes of tending the huge garden we had grown over the summer. I agonized over this, and in the end the only thing that kept flourishing with no maintenance whatsoever was my little marigold patch. I took a lot of solace in sitting with the orange and gold blooms, and these tops are a kind of homage to impermanence, surrender, and remembering to take joy from small things.
